This year marks an important milestone for a premium aluminium brand with more than 30 years of experience in the Thai market. Formerly known as SMART GLASS, the company has officially rebranded as SUN ART, reflecting its expanded business direction—from premium aluminium doors and windows to becoming a One-Stop Aluminium Solution provider for the entire home.

Mr. Chawit Pruksasanti, Managing Director of SUN ART Co., Ltd., explains that the company’s participation in Architect’69, marking its fifth consecutive year at the event, is more than simply an opportunity to showcase products. It is an important platform for SUN ART to officially introduce its new brand identity and expanded vision.
Originally focused on premium aluminium doors and windows, SUN ART has now expanded its product range to include Skylights, Balustrades, Interior Doors & Windows, Slim Systems, Retractable Screens, and Decorative Louvres, strengthening its position as a One-Stop Aluminium Solution provider for the entire home.
Key Insights from Four Years at Architect
Over the past four years of participating in Architect, SUN ART has viewed the event as an important platform for understanding market trends through direct conversations with architects, designers, and homeowners.
The company has observed that the needs of modern homes continue to evolve, particularly in areas such as:
- PM2.5 filtration systems
- High-ceiling residences reaching up to 7 meters
- Large openings measuring 2–3 meters or more
Visitor numbers have continued to grow each year, with a notable increase in international visitors, particularly from China and Europe, as well as property developers and homeowners from outside Bangkok seeking materials and solutions for their homes and projects.
SUN ART’s primary target customers are homeowners, who today have greater access to product information and architectural knowledge through digital platforms. At the same time, architects and property developers remain key partners in helping the company develop products and solutions that respond to emerging architectural trends.
Competing Through Service and Quality
While construction materials and technologies continue to evolve rapidly, SUN ART remains focused on Service and Quality as the foundation of its competitive strategy.
The company believes homeowners are looking for a long-term partner who can continue to support their home—not simply a product that offers short-term appeal.
For this reason, SUN ART places strong emphasis on:
- On-time installation
- Production according to agreed specifications
- Fast and effective problem resolution
- A 5-year product warranty
- Continued after-sales support, even two to three years after installation
These commitments are designed to provide customers with confidence and support throughout every stage of their experience with SUN ART.
Technology-Driven Operations
SUN ART has also integrated AI and digital software into its operations to improve efficiency and production control.
These technologies include:
- Real-time technician reporting systems
- Quotation and cost-control software
- QR Code systems connected to factory machinery
- Integrated software and manufacturing workflows designed to reduce human error during cutting, drilling, and assembly
Together, these systems help minimize production discrepancies and further improve the precision and consistency of installation work.
Wellness Architecture and Innovation for Better Living
SUN ART places increasing importance on the well-being of homeowners through continuously evolving technologies and architectural solutions, including:
-
Thermal Break Systems
Designed to reduce heat transfer from the exterior to the interior, helping improve indoor comfort and reduce energy consumption.
-
PM2.5 Filtration at Entryways
Solutions designed to help reduce the entry of fine particulate matter through key access points of the home.
-
In-House Aluminium Finishing
SUN ART operates its own aluminium coating and finishing process rather than relying entirely on imported finishing services. This enables greater control over quality, consistency, and safety standards.
These innovations reflect SUN ART’s approach to aluminium—not simply as an aesthetic architectural material, but as an element that contributes to the long-term quality of life within the home.
A Partner for Architecture and Construction
SUN ART works closely with architects, designers, and property developers, supported by an engineering team capable of evaluating wind loads, glazing loads, structural requirements, and technical feasibility.
This allows challenging architectural concepts to be transformed into practical and buildable solutions.
One notable innovation is SUN ART’s Magnetic Sliding Door System, a highly specialized solution that remains relatively uncommon in Southeast Asia. The system can accommodate sliding panels up to approximately 6 meters wide and 3.40 meters high, enabling significantly larger openings than conventional sliding door systems, which are often limited to around 2 meters per panel depending on the system and specifications.
The company also has experience working on high-end residential projects, including Toscana Valley and luxury private residences in Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.
Highlights at Architect’69
This year marks the first official appearance of the SUN ART brand following its rebranding.
Alongside the new brand identity, the company introduced several products that clearly reflect its expanded direction.
One of the key highlights is the new Slim Door & Window System, developed with slimmer frame profiles to respond to the growing popularity of Minimalist architecture. The slimmer design allows for wider views and greater access to natural light while maintaining the structural performance required for contemporary residential applications.
Another highlight is the extra-large retractable screen system, capable of spanning up to 9 meters wide and 4 meters high, developed in collaboration with an Australian manufacturer. This solution responds to the growing demand for expansive architectural openings in contemporary homes.
SUN ART has also expanded its product portfolio to include Balustrades, Cabinet Doors, and Decorative Aluminium Solutions, further strengthening its vision of becoming a comprehensive One-Stop Aluminium Solution provider for the entire home.
